The Computer Art Diploma Program is an intensive program that welcome  aspiring artists who are interested in Design and digital animation. During the  duration of the course, students will develop variety of design skills includes,  2D/3D environments design, Story boarding, character modelling, lighting,  texturing, 3D/2D Animation, 3D Compositing and portfolio under the direct  supervision of industrial instructors.

Our 12-month Diploma Program in Entertainment Concept Design is a rigorous program designed to cater to the needs of aspiring artists with a passion for concept art design. Throughout the duration of the course, students will be exposed to a wide range of design skills, including but not limited to, 2D/3D environment design, character modelling, lighting, texturing, concept design, and portfolio development. Under the expert guidance of industry professionals, students will hone their skills and gain valuable insights into the field of concept design. Special Program
​With College of Creative Studies

NPC College of Arts + Design (NPC) and College for Creative Studies (CCS) have partnered to create a cross-institutional pathway enabling NPC graduates to complete both a NPC Concept Design Diploma and a CCS Concept Design BFA programs, and fully prepared to enter the Entertainment Industry. We are not just preparing students for careers, we are equipping them to change lives.

Tim Flattery

Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs Chief Academic Officer & Section Chair of Concept Design BFA, College for Creative Studies

Mr. Flattery is a multi-talented creative concept artist and designer with expertise in concept development, design, fabrication and story for the entertainment industry. In a career spanning more than 28 years, he has worked on some of the biggest films for some of the most famous directors in the world including Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis and Tim Burton. Among the number of highly anticipated films he has worked on are Rise of the Guardians 2, Avengers, Infinity War, Bumblebee and the new Godzilla sequel. Previously he has designed and overseen full-size construction of custom vehicles such as the Batmobile for Batman Forever and the Fantasticar for Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer. Mr Flattery is also the Chief Academic Officer and  Section Chair of Concept Design at the College For Creative Studies in Detroit.

Our Instructors

All our instructors are industry professionals. As a student, you will be able to work with them on a weekly basis as they guide you from start to finish of a completed demo reel. This is truly a unique experience as students get a chance to gain insider, industry knowledge while polishing and refining the skills they have learned throughout the term.

PTIB Designated – NPC College of Arts & Design is designated by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. PTIB administers the Private Training Act and associated regulations. It is responsible for ensuring institutions meet the requirements and standards for certification, maintaining a Private Training Institution Directory of all certified institutions and the programs they provide, providing student protection and overseeing the Student Tuition Protection Fund.

EQA Designated –Education Quality Assurance (EQA) is a quality assurance designation that identifies BC public and private post-secondary institutions that have met or exceeded provincial government recognized quality assurance standards and offer consumer protection. The EQA seal allows students to easily identify which provincial institutions the government of BC recognizes as having met quality assurance standards and that offer consumer protection to learners.
